Every room is different – that’s why we develop solutions that adapt precisely to individual requirements. Whether one-off production or small series: we manufacture tailor-made products, think in a solution-oriented way and implement ideas with a great deal of experience and personal commitment. In close cooperation with planners, architects and specialist retailers, we create products that not only fit, but also inspire.
Quality-conscious and with attention to detail
Our products are handmade in Germany and are manufactured exclusively in our factory in Krefeld. In four specialized production areas – the foundry for solid surface materials, the CNC processing of solid surface materials, the GRP production and the joinery – our products are created with the highest precision and craftsmanship. Each individual item is manufactured by qualified employees with a keen sense of quality and attention to detail. Complex work processes and specialized partial work result in exceptional products whose quality is recognizable at first glance.
Our history
1980
Invention of the domovari material
Rolf Obert develops the innovative solid surface material domovari mineral matt – a high-quality alternative to Corian for kitchen worktops.
1992
New start in Thuringia
The company moves to Thuringia and initially only produces kitchen worktops. In 1994, Dr. Frank and Dr. Ralf Oehmke take over 75% of the company shares and further expand the position as a supplier for well-known sanitaryware manufacturers such as Hoesch and Ideal Standard.
2000
Generational change and growth
After moving to Krefeld, Dr. Frank and Dr. Ralf Oehmke take over all the shares and expand the portfolio to include custom-made bathtubs, shower trays and washbasins.
2010
Expansion and family business
With the production of bathroom furniture and GRP bathtubs, domovari has since developed into a leading family business in the field of exclusive bathroom solutions.
