With the right care tips, you will only need minimal effort to keep your domovari bathroom furnishings beautiful long-term.
At the end of this article, you will find a collection of links to all detailed care instructions.
mineral matt
Mineral matt is a homogeneous, solid-colored mineral material with a pleasant feel and high-quality appearance. At domovari, it is primarily used for custom-made washbasin tops, freestanding bathtubs, and shower trays.
For daily cleaning, you can use standard household cleaners. Even tougher stains can be easily removed with liquid abrasive cleaner or a cleaning stone. The material is extremely straightforward, so you cannot make a mistake with its care.
spektra matt
spektra matt is the colored variant of our mineral material. The surface achieves its silky-matte appearance through a special lacquer finish and allows for the design of countertop basins and freestanding bathtubs in any NCS and RAL color shade.
For daily cleaning, use a soft, damp cloth with a mild household or glass cleaner. Abrasive cleaners and aggressive cleaning agents should be avoided to prevent damage to the lacquer layer. Products such as hair dye or nail polish should not be allowed to dry, as they will then be difficult to remove.
GRP & spektra GRP
GRP is a glass-fiber reinforced plastic that combines high stability with low weight and is primarily used by domovari for custom-made bathtubs – naturally also as spektra GRP in your desired color.
For daily cleaning, a soft cloth with a classic household cleaner is recommended. Abrasive cleaners should not be used on high-gloss surfaces, while matte surfaces can be cleaned with liquid abrasive milk if necessary. Staining products should not be allowed to dry, as they will then be difficult to remove.
ceram Porcelain Stoneware
ceram is our high-quality fine stoneware and is used by domovari for custom-made washbasins, shelves, and wall claddings. Due to its extremely dense structure, it is particularly durable, hygienic, and easy to care for.
For daily cleaning, use a damp cloth with a neutral cleaner, such as glass or all-purpose cleaner. More stubborn residues can be carefully removed with mild abrasive milk or a blunt scraper. Limescale deposits can be dissolved with vinegar cleaner.
Real wood veneer
Real wood veneers bring natural warmth to any bathroom design. We primarily use them for custom-made bathroom furniture. Although the surfaces are protected by a lacquer, they remain a natural product that darkens over time and requires appropriate care.
For cleaning, use a slightly damp leather cloth and wipe in the direction of the wood grain. Avoid leaving water or damp objects on the surface for extended periods. Aggressive or abrasive cleaners, polishes, waxes, and steam cleaners are unsuitable.
Lacquered surfaces
Lacquered furniture surfaces allow for diverse color designs in silky-matte or high-gloss finishes.
For daily cleaning, a soft, slightly damp cloth is sufficient. For matte surfaces, a mild dish soap can be used if necessary, while glossy surfaces are best cleaned with a clean cotton or sponge cloth. Aggressive or abrasive agents, polishes, waxes, and steam cleaners are unsuitable as they can damage the lacquer layer. Water or damp objects should also not be left on the surface for extended periods.
Textile Fronts
Our textile fronts are firmly integrated into the frame and, due to their robust nature, are also suitable for use in the bathroom.
For regular care, it is sufficient to remove dust with a soft upholstery nozzle or a dry microfiber cloth. Fresh stains should be carefully blotted immediately and, if necessary, spot-cleaned with a little mild delicate detergent. It is important to avoid vigorous rubbing or extensive wetting. Aggressive cleaners, steam cleaners, or brushes are also unsuitable.
Glass
We manufacture furniture fronts and cover panels from safety glass with rear-side lacquering, optionally in clear or satin finishes.
For daily cleaning, a dry microfiber cloth is sufficient. If necessary, wipe with a slightly damp cloth and mild glass cleaner – please always spray onto the cloth, not directly onto the glass. Satin glass should be treated particularly gently and cleaned only with dish soap. Avoid aggressive cleaners, abrasive sponges, and moisture at the edges.
Mirrors
Mirrors require gentle cleaning to remain clear long-term. Use a soft, dry microfiber cloth or a duster. For light dirt, a mild cleaning agent sprayed onto a cloth – not directly onto the mirror – is suitable.
Important: Do not use glass cleaner or ammonia-containing products, as the solvents they contain can attack the edge coating and cause so-called “mirror rot.” Also, ensure that no moisture gets into the edges, and carefully dry the surfaces after cleaning.
